Another amazing weekend for Italtrans Racing Team. After the beautiful second position of last weekend, also this weekend the team conquered an outstanding podium with the third position of Enea Bastianini.

Started from the second row on the grid with the 6th best time recorded in qualifying, after few passages Bastianini has firmly conquered the 3rd position, keeping it with a good pace until the end of the race. In front of him only Lowes and Di Giannatonio, who benefited from a better start. This is the 2nd consecutive podium for Enea, the 7th in this particular season and which testifies his high level. An important result even if with a bitter-sweet taste: if Enea started off as leader of the standing, now he is second with 171 points, 7 behind Lowes, unbeatable at MotorLand Aragon. But with three GPs still to race, two in Valencia and one in Portimao, the objective remains the title!

“I’m quite happy. It was a tough race because Lowes was very fast all weekend and kept a steady pace in race. Di Giannantonio was fast too: I pushed, but today it was not possible do better than the third place. It’s a good result for the championship, even if I lost the leadership: there are still three races left and we will give our best to conquer the title”.

Italtrans Racing Team faced at Le Mans Circuit the tenth round of the season, the Grand Prix of France, in which mid-morning rain meant that the Moto2 race was declared wet.

Took off from the third row of the grid with the 9th best time of the qualifying, Enea Bastianini immediately tried to gain positions, but a brake problem penalized his performance. Forced to a careful race in order to bring back home precious points for the championship, he managed to ended 9th, but a penalty of 3 seconds made him finish 11th. This result allows him to remain second in the standings, even more close to Marini, leader with an advantage of 15 points.

“Tough race. Unfortunately, I had problems with the brakes and I take a penalty because of a mistake. It’s a pity: the final position is not bad, but I’m not satisfied”.

Amazing San Marino Grand Prix for Italtrans Racing Team. In the first one of the two GPs at Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the team proved to have the right skills to be a ruler with an incredible Enea Bastianini on the 3rd step of the podium and a promising Lorenzo Dalla Porta for the first time in the points.

Started from the second row on the grid with the 5th best time, Enea had a very good race despite stomach problems. He fought for all the 25 laps in the top three, making a small mistake halfway through the race, managing to stay on his Kalex. He increased the pace, pushing and catching Bezzecchi in the final: with one more lap he would have surely finished 2nd. This is an important podium, thanks to which he strengthens the 2nd position in the standings, just behind Marini, ahead of 17 points.

Brilliant race for Lorenzo Dalla Porta at the end of a weekend of continuous progress, overshadowed only by a crash in the warm up. Thanks to the best seasonal qualifying, he started from the 5th row, taking over the 18th position and finishing 13th with a good recover. The first points of the year and another race at Misano are very auspicious.

“Unfortunately, I had stomach problems and so I wasn’t in good shape, but I pushed hard and managed to get the podium. Too bad for the mistake at la Quercia: the pace was good and I could have taken the first riders, but we were at the end and it was impossible to do better. It’s ok, now we are already thinking about next weekend”.

An amazing, deserved and desired new victory. A perfect triumph, with no imperfections.
After the extraordinary first position two weeks ago in the GP of Andalucia at Jerez de la Frontera, today Italtrans Racing Team has repeated the success by conquering another fantastic victory with an outstanding Enea Bastianini in the Czech Republic Grand Prix.
Thanks to this success now he is leader of the world standing with 73 points.
Starting from the front row of the grid with the third time set yesterday in the Q2, Enea ruled all the 19 laps, first from the first to the last lap. A perfect victory, achieved thanks to the excellent job done together with the team and a great pace, finishing with a gap of almost half a second ahead Lowes.

“What a race! I gave the 100% getting this amazing win. I knew that Lowes was pushing but I hang in, keeping the pace. Thank you to the whole team for helping me to achieve this great result!”.

Four months after the first race in Qatar, this weekend the MotoGP World Championship finally arrives to Jerez de la Frontera for the second round of the season.

The Spanish Grand Prix is the first one after the long lockdown due to the Coronavirus emergency. Even during this period Italtrans Racing Team’s riders continued their training with a specific preparation.

Tough qualifying session today because of the strong heat and high temperatures, which have put a strain on both riders and bikes.

With a constant pace since the first free practice, Enea Bastianini entered to the Q2 finishing 11th, just a heartbeat away from the top ten.

“This is only my second race and I’m still struggling. We are far away from the results we expect, but even today we have taken a small step forward: we are working and we will soon get a result. Tomorrow it will be important to have a good warm up in view of the race”.
